UPFDA Launches Charitable Partnership Program, Names P.E.S.T. Relief International as Inaugural Partner

UPFDA is proud to announce the launch of its new Charitable Partnership Program, a meaningful initiative designed to expand the association’s commitment to giving back while actively engaging members in service aligned with the pest management industry.

Through this new program, UPFDA will contribute $5,000 to a selected nonprofit organization and encourage member involvement through volunteer service, industry expertise, and hands-on support. Each charitable partnership will span two years, with the option for renewal—ensuring sustained impact and long-term collaboration rather than one-time support.

After a structured, member-driven selection process, P.E.S.T. Relief International was chosen as UPFDA’s first charitable partner.

Members were invited to submit nominations, which were reviewed by a committee and evaluated based on established eligibility guidelines, including nonprofit status, national scope, alignment with UPFDA values, and meaningful opportunities for member engagement. From a competitive pool of four highly deserving organizations, the UPFDA Board of Directors selected P.E.S.T. Relief International to serve as the inaugural partner.

P.E.S.T. Relief International is an organization of pest management professionals dedicated to empowering, sustaining, and transforming the lives of orphaned, abused, and at-risk individuals. Through its REST Initiative, the organization works to make orphanages and shelters safer places to sleep by providing clean bedding, pest control services, and support for safe shelter, nutrition, hygiene, and both physical and emotional well-being. The initiative is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: every individual deserves comfort, dignity, and a safe environment in which to heal and thrive.
